Summit Auto opened in August 1998 hosting live auctions every Thursday night. They became a full service dealership 2 years later and have since closed the auctions to focus solely on the sales and service of the dealership vehicles. By keeping a “no pressure sales approach”, Joe and his staff are seeing third generations come in to purchase their vehicles. Quality service is the key to their success. So is diversity. You can find the usual cars, trucks & SUVs, but you can also occasionally find the unusual, like a HoverCraft, fire truck or short bus.
Joe’s mission statement is “To provide our customers with a one stop shop for all of their automotive needs.” From sales to servicing, Summit Auto can do it all. They are a certified state inspection shop, auto body and auto repair business. They have notary service on site as well as Buy Here Pay Here financing, wrecker service for their buyers. They are also a licensed repossessing agent for Pennsylvania. The Buy Here Pay Here feature is currently being used by approximately 1,100 clients. It allows customers the peace of mind of guaranteed financing with no credit check as well as 0% interest. Excess inventory from local “big box” dealers is where Summit Auto gets their quality resales. Most cars on the lot retail for less than $7,000.
With a full-time staff of seven, Joe maintains the personal touch with his clients. He says he may not remember your name, but he will surely remember what you’re driving. He takes a keen interest in making sure that customers know the value in oil changes and regular maintenance to keep their cars running as smoothly as his business does.
